Sylvia Nimako

I have been caring for people my whole life. From Ghana, I moved to the United States in 2003 with my husband. I got my Certified Nurse Assistant job and began caring for others as a profession. I moved up in our company and Katie recognized my passion for our clients and also for my fellow caregivers. I understand their struggles and goals, so she asked me if I would create a new role in our company-Caregiver for the Caregivers- and charged me with serving our caregivers and giving them the best, most loving work experience they have ever had. I pray with them daily, inspire through connections and experiences, and help build their confidence and hope for the future. As such, Katie and I started a brand new non-profit called Sylvia’s Attic which serves our caregivers by providing them with those things they need to support their families. I love my job and our caregivers, and I strive every day to serve them well so that our clients feel our love and commitment through them. In addition to working for Visiting Nurse Private Home Care, I am a wife, a mother to three teenagers (!), a college student, and an active member of my church.
