Why Enroll?

Who’s Eligible?

You may qualify for VA Health Care if you:

  • Served in active-duty military, naval, or air service

  • Were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable

  • Have a service-connected disability

  • Are a former POW, Medal of Honor recipient, or Purple Heart recipient

Service requirements based on enlistment date:

  • Before Sept. 7, 1980: No minimum length of service; income must fall below $56,700 (varies by region).

  • After Sept. 7, 1980: Must have served 24 continuous months; income must fall below $56,700.

How to Enroll

Choose the option that works best for you:

  • By Phone: Call 877-222-8387

  • In Person: Visit your local VA facility or a Veteran Service Officer (VSO)

  • Online: Apply at VA.gov

  • By Mail: Complete VA Form 10-10EZ and send it in
